Tricia O'Reilly
Tricia O’Reilly serves as Vice President for Strategic Initiatives and Chief of Staff at Carnegie Mellon University. In this dual executive role, she is a senior advisor to President Farnam Jahanian and the Executive Management Team, driving the alignment, planning, and execution of CMU’s highest-priority strategic bets. O’Reilly leads university-wide initiatives that expand CMU’s global footprint, accelerate interdisciplinary research, and establish high-impact external partnerships.
Since joining Carnegie Mellon in 2016, O’Reilly has held key leadership positions supporting Dr. Jahanian throughout his tenure as Provost and President, previously serving as Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Director for Executive Communications. Prior to CMU, she managed public relations campaigns for global brands at Stern Advertising and led publicity and communications for Coffee House Press, one of the nation's premier independent literary publishers.
O’Reilly holds a B.A. in English and History from Williams College.
